The Beebe truth about bragging

So here's the Beebe truth about bragging. NO matter how harmless it may seem. It will always come back to haunt you...
so i sent out an email that included all the people that i knew were longing to be in burley for thanksgiving but couldn 't. braggin about the 1st annual thanksgiving boredom buster bowl. i was only trying to get them excited for next year. and of course received vicious hate mail for causing envy. including one from dear joanne who said only, "braggart!" well. the rest of the story goes that no one but eddie and ryan and poor christina's husband showed up for the game. needless to say... there wasn't one (and that's the beebe truth).
then i sent out an email this weekend bragging about my wonderful little home that we have loved and nourished and equipped with a dishwasher that in my own words "has changed my life." less than 24 hours later my husband lovingly shoves as many potato peels down the disposal as he can... less than 24 seconds later i have a burping disposal that spits stinky water back up into the sink and will not drain. needless to say not only am i without a kitchen sink (again) but am now also unable to use my life-changing dishwasher. (and that is definetely the beebe truth)
.
Now, i know what you must be thinking "lisa, for crying out loud, stop sending emails!"
but the beebe truth is that bragging even to yourself in your head has the same effects. natalie has been so good during eddie's basketball games. last night there was a little boy at the game who was being naughty and i thought to myself, "my child knows her boundaries, i have taught her well. " and i'm sure you can all imagine the happenings that followed...

  2. So....how bad was the end of the basketball game for you? :-)

I hope your disposal was fixed quickly and your peaceful life can be restored. Next time, no bragging!
